Part atmospheric part epic, this piece conveys the tensions of battle, as two opposing factions wait, tensed, watching one another closely for any moves.

The track begins as the ponies are watching Sombra closely, making sure they don't miss any crucial detail and continues on to some lighter testing of one another in fight, seeing what they're each capable of.

Finally, the score climaxes in one final battle, with some more nifty animations thrown in :) (that took longer than I was expecting, but were fun to make!)

I wanted to venture into sound design a bit more, to create many distorted orchestral elements and fuse them with traditional ones as well; together with electric guitars these create a very powerful, atmospheric and epic piece, lending lots of weight and interest.

In terms of themes, I definitely associate the chorus and its electric guitars (perfect fit for an edgy horse, eh? :)) with Tempest, and her making a move first to probe her opponent. The verses are the ponies cautiously watching Sombra, so there's lots of sound designy elements for tension there. The last section full of distorted strings is Sombra attacking, making for an all-out final encounter between them. Or at least that was my idea of it anyway, anyone's welcome to associate their own interpretations with this :)
